POWER & PACE...

2017 British Cycling National Track Championships, Manchester UK (27 - 29th January)

Another successful event under the belt with the Red Sky at Night Events (RSANE) team - this time for the British Cycling National Track Champs in Manchester. The annual championships took place over three days at Manchester’s National Cycling Centre, the home of British Cycling and the Great Britain Cycling Team.

The event saw Britain’s best track cyclists going head-to-head with the next generation of emerging talent, all competing for the coveted red, white and blue national champions’ jerseys.

Newcomers to the world of cycling our RSANE team partnered with British Cycling and was responsible for the overall event production element including working with the commentator trio of Laura Winter, Carl Lawrenson and Marty MacDonald; co-ordinating each medal ceremony (15+ over the six sessions); orchestrating stadium music to complement the undulating energy of all races; and ensuring all races kept to the very precise race schedule monitored by the BC race marshalls.

Overall an extremely well organised and successful family event which now has a new fan!
