FIFA World Cup Football Final (Johannesburg, South Africa, 11th July 2010)

Based in the UK and working for BCD Meetings & Incentives, I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to create & produce branding opportunities for Sony Europe for the 2010 FIFA World Cup Final at Soccer City in Johannesburg. Our remit was to enhance the experience for both Sony Europe Senior Management as well as competition winners from an internal campaign.

A privately chartered aeroplane was procured for this 'once in a lifetime' trip and included many extra touches to enhance the make.believe campaign which was designed to unify the company's efforts at communication, and to reinvigorate the Sony brand. Guests were welcomed on board with a personalised video with famous footballer Kaka, which they listened to using their new Sony headphones. Guests received branded gift packs, which included Molton Brown travel sets, blankets, pillows and other travel accessories.

I co-ordinated with all the suppliers including the charter company, branded the plane and then travelled with guests to South Africa. On the return, I liaised with the local airport suppliers and charter company to re-brand the plane for it's return to London.
